Award categories

• Best Short Comic - for comics of 52 pages or less in length
• Best Graphic Novel - for comics of more than 52 pages in length
• Best Art - no length restriction
• Best Narrative - no length restriction
• Up and Coming Talent - no length restriction

Submission guidelines

• Submitted works must have been created in Scotland, and/or created by a resident of Scotland.
• Works that have been created by generative AI are not eligible for the award.
• Submitted works must have been published between July 2023 and July 2024.
• Only digital PDF files will be considered.
• All genres, art styles and narratives are eligible for submission. We welcome both standalone works and works from ongoing series.
• Submissions of a violent, sexually explicit or offensive nature will be considered, but only after approval from the submission panel. This approval may be subject to discussions with the creators and publisher of the work.
• Applicants may submit one work per category for consideration. If further works are submitted, only the first will be considered.
• Self-published works are eligible for submission, including digital-only works.
• Entries must be submitted by 11:59pm on 23 August 2024.

Important dates

• Submission deadline: Friday 23 August 2024
• Shortlist announced: Friday 18 October 2024
• Awards ceremony: 18-24 November 2024 (tbc)
